Day 4 ... in the JGFJ church .... An awesome day full of service

HIYA!!!

It's Hollie ^^ ...

For all you lovely people following our blog back home in the UK and those in the USA here's your daily portion of the bread we call mission.

We have had a rather full day, but it has been very good. First we started out at the Little Sisters of the Poor care home; where we provided some entertainment to the folk in the care home. We were very warmly welcomed by the people and the staff and they seemed to really enjoy the drama and the songs we sang to them. Then we had a good talk with the residents of the home. One lady I spoke to was 101 years old. She was definitely an interesting character, she had me cracking up.

Then we met with Calvin, who is a very cool dude. And Dave, Colette, Richard and I wrote an awesome poem which we will put up on Facebook later for you all to read.

After, we went to Care 66, a kind of homeless shelter and cooked them dinner for tonight. We provided a gorgeous meal of Shepard's Pie and some sweet pies for dessert. Then we all sat down with them and enjoyed the meal together and had a good chat. I felt blessed that we could give these people something which they seemed to enjoy so much.

Then finally we went to good ol' Walmart where we had a good laugh. Colette definitely won on the bargain hunting.

Now we are all enjoying a good spot of tea and some banter.

Till next time folks ...

Over and Out
